The Yemen
currency is the Yemen Rial consisting of

fils, it is issued in bank notes and
coins. Bank notes are available in denominations of 1000, 500, 200,
l00, 50, 20 and 10 Yemeni Rials. Coins come in denominations of
20, l0 and 5 Rials.
Only
in Sana’a, Aden and few major cities traveler cheques will be accepted; Credit cards
will be accepted only in
the few international hotels and super markets.
